Help Summa "roll" into a New Year with your IRA Rollover

Last year Congress passed, and President Obama signed a bill, that allowed for the continuation of the IRA Charitable Rollover - an estate planning method that allows an individual over the age of 70.5 to withdraw up to $100,000 from her/his retirement funds (IRAs) and donate that money to organizations they support or which have meaning to them. The last date for this option is December 31, 2011. Unless Congress and the executive office reauthorize this giving vehicle before year end, you will not able to make this type of contribution in 2012.

Please consider a gift from your IRA this December and help ensure Summa Health System continues to have the best facilities, provides the best education to its students and residents and conducts groundbreaking research that leads to cures in order to provide the best medical care to you and all residents of the greater Akron area.

Thank you for your consideration and investment in Summa. Have a safe, happy and healthy holiday season and 2012.
